The ASEAN Culture House is holding an online photo contest titled “ASEAN in Korea, Korea in ASEAN.”

1. Overview

⚪ Theme

 - Photos that capture the cultural elements of each ASEAN country found in Korean society (e.g. people, food,  art, etc.)

- Photos that capture cultural elements of Korea found in ASEAN countries

- Photos that capture interactions and exchanges between Korea and ASEAN

⚪ Category: Photography

⚪ Eligibility: Anyone interested in Korea and ASEAN (open to both Koreans and foreign nationals)

2. Schedule

⚪ Application Period: May 1 - 27, 2018

⚪ Winner Announcement: June 2018

⚪ Exhibition of Winning Entries: June 12 – July 1, 2018

⚪ Award Ceremony: Saturday, June 16, 2018

3. Submission Guidelines

⚪ Upload your photo on the competition’s official website (www.contest.ach.or.kr) and add basic information including a brief description of the photo.

⚪ Format

- Resolution: 1200x1600 or higher. Maximum file size: 30MB. Format: JPG.

- Edited photos and photo collages are ineligible for this contest.

- Photos must be submitted as files. If you shoot on film, please upload a scanned copy of your photo.

4. Evaluation Criteria

⚪ Appropriateness of the theme, applicability, creativity, aesthetics

* In-depth review by panel of experts

5. Prizes

* The types of souvenirs for winners of the Outstanding Photo Award will be decided at a later point in time.

7. Things to keep in mind

⚪ Applicants must hold the intellectual property rights of their submitted work, and shall take full legal responsibility for any issues arising from their publication.

⚪ Contest winners shall grant the ASEAN Culture House the exclusive rights to their selected photographs for

use in ACH programs (production, copy, distribution, etc.).

⚪ Prize money is subject to applicable taxes.
