The 9th Korea-Japan Forum will be held at Phoenix Park Hotel in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, on August 31-September 3, under the co-sponsorship of the Korea Foundation and Japan Center for International Exchange (President: Yamamoto Tadashi). The two delegations, led by Choi Kwang-soo and Owada Hisashi, will discuss "Domestic Situation in Korea & Japan," "The State of Bilateral Relations: Tasks of Overcoming the Past," "Security Situation in Northeast Asia," and "Enhancing Economic Cooperation." In particular, during this ninth forum, the participants will discuss in detail the history textbook issue, one of the most controversial issues, between Korea and Japan today.
