The 5th Korea-France Forum, co-hosted by the Foundation and the French Institute of International Relations(Ifri), will be held at the J. W. Marriott Hotel, in Seoul, on March 25-26. Participants will discuss ways to promote mutual cooperation on the civilian level as well as political developments related to upcoming presidential elections in both countries. The topics of discussion include. 1) Political Systems in Korea and France and Implications of Presidential Elections, 2) Korean Peninsula Issues: Sunshine Policy and French Recognition of the DPRK, 3) Prospects for Cooperative Relation: Bilateral and ASEM Perspectives, 4) Cultural and Social Cooperation.
