The Korean Studies Workshop for Chinese Secondary School Teachers
The Korean Studies Workshop for Chinese Secondary School Teachers 2004, co-sponsored by the Foundation and the Chinese Ministry of Education, will run November 17 to November 26. Hankuk University of Foreign Studies’ Center for International Area Studies will implement the program for nineteen participants from China who wish to enhance their understanding of Korea.
The program will include lectures, visits to Korean secondary schools, and the opportunity to experience diverse aspects of Korean arts and culture. Participants will also visit historic Korean cultural sites in Seoul and Gyeongju, the ancient capital of Silla. This annual workshop is expected to have far-reaching effects, since the teachers will pass on to their students the knowledge they have gained.
