Korean Studies Workshop 2006

The 18th Korean Studies Workshop, co-hosted by the Foundation and Korea Society (the U.S.), Asia Education Foundation (Australia), Asia 2000 Foundation of New Zealand, and carried out by Korea University, will be held from June 20 to July 3. Forty-two participants, secondary school teachers, educational administrators and university professors from three English speaking countries will have an opportunity to enhance their understanding of Korea. The workshop program includes lectures on various topics about Korea such as Korean history, culture, educational system and politics. Participants will also visit Panmunjom, Korean industrial sites and Gyeong-ju, the ancient capital of Silla. Based on firsthand experience in Korea, the participants are exptected to utilize their knowledge in their respective countries through writing teaching plan for classroom and launching web sites to introduce Korea.
