The 1st Korean Studies Workshop for European Educators, hosted by the Foundation and implemented by the Graduate School of International Studies, Hanyang University will be held from August 16 to 29. The twenty participants, including secondary school social studies teachers, educational administrators and university professors from ten European countries, will have an opportunity to enhance their understanding of Korea. The workshop program includes lectures on various topics about Korea such as Korean history, culture, educational system and politics. Participants will also visit a high school, Korean industrial sites and historic sites in Andong, Gyeongju, and Jeonju. Based on their firsthand experience in Korea, the participants are expected to utilize their knowledge through creating lesson plans for classrooms and launching web sites to introduce Korea.
