Next-Generation Leaders from Latin America

Under the invitation program of 'Next-Generation Leaders' Visit to Korea, eight prominent individuals from Argentine, Mexico, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Panama will visit Korea during the period March 20 to March 27. These next-generation leaders are important figures from the government and diplomatic fields, who are expected to play important roles in their respective countries. During the visit, participants will be briefed and have discussions on mutual cooperative exchanges between Korea and the Middle East region, as well as Korea's economic development and current trade by visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT), the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS), the Korean Council on Latin America and the Caribbean and Korea Economic Research Institute. They will also visit the Korean Overseas Information Service, National Assembly, and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). In addition, they will have a chance to see diverse aspects of Korea by visiting historical sites in Seoul and Gyeongju and by touring industrial facilities of Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motors and POSCO.
