2008 Korean Studies Workshop for Foreign Educators in Korea
“The 2nd Korea Studies Workshop for International School Educators in Korea” will be held at the Korea Foundation Cultural Center (KFCC) from June 16 to 25. This annual Workshop, organized by the KFCC, is designed to provide both international school educators in Korea and foreign teachers at Korean schools with a comprehensive understanding and in-depth knowledge of Korea, which can then be shared and applied in the classroom. All the necessary books, resources, materials and field trip fees will be provided by the KF Cultural Center. Detailed information is as follows:
  • Organized by the Korea Foundation Cultural Center
  • Period: June 16 to 25 in 2008 (excluding Sunday, June 22)
  • Venue: Mainly at Korea Foundation Cultural Center + field trip
  • Contents of the Workshop - Lectures conducted by eminent professors or experts in the field of Korean history, society, contemporary culture, economy, education, politics and much more. - On-site or related activities which will complement the theoretical content of the lectures. - Field trip to Gyeongju, Ulsan and Busan, where participants will be able to visit historic sites and an industrial complex for three days.
  • Eligibility for applying - Teachers at International Schools, Korean Schools in Korea, who are non-Korean - Principals and other educational professionals who wish to gain a better sense of Korea and Korean studies * Preference will be given to teachers who have not participated in other workshops conducted by the Korea Foundation
