Prof. Soukkongseng Saignaleuth, President, National University of Laos will visit Korea from July 7 to July 12 by invitation of the Korea Foundation.

Located in Vientiane, the National University of Laos was officially established in late 1995 by merging nine higher learning institutions that were operating under different ministries. Since its founding, the University has developed to become one of the leading universities in the country, with a total number of 1,800 teaching and administrative staff and 28,000 students.

During his stay, Prof. Saignaleuth will meet the presidents of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Dongguk University and Ulsan University to discuss ways to promote academic cooperation between Korea and Laos. He will also have the opportunity to visit the National Museum of Korea, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Hyundai Heavy Industries, and various cultural attractions in Gyeongju.
