Mr. Elias Mudzuri, Minister, Ministry of Energy and Power Development in Zimbabwe, will visit Korea from September 22 through 28, 2009 by invitation of the Korea Foundation.
His visit is expected to offer a good opportunity to top government leaders and executives in Korea to build a network with Zimbabwean high-ranking government officials, particularly considering the geographical advantages of the country’s location in the central area of Southern Africa. It will also be a chance to explore Korea’s plans for expanding overseas business through discussions on closer cooperation, given the extensive interest in energy and resources in Zimbabwe. Furthermore, the visit reflects the great importance attached to promoting diplomacy between Korea and Africa.
According to the schedule, firstly he will be meeting with the Minister of Knowledge Economy (MKE), followed by visits to the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), the Energy & Mineral Resources Development Association of Korea (EMRD), the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER), the International Contractors Association of Korea (ICAK), Hyosung Corporation, and LS Industrial Systems to explore cooperation in the energy and power development field.
