Mr. Tarun Patel, CEO of Fiji TV Limited Group, will visit Korea from June 18 to June 24 by invitation of the Korea Foundation.

Fiji Television is Fiji's premier television service provider, providing television services to the Fiji Islands, Papua New Guinea and other Pacific Island countries. As part of its expansion plans to supplement its satellite broadcasting channel, Fiji TV is investigating ways to broadcast a Korean channel.

Mr. Tarun Patel joined Fiji One TV and New Zealand's Television in 1991 and he is a prominent personage leading Fiji TV as the first TV broadcasting in Fiji Islands as Operations Manager and Chief Operating Officer for Fiji Television Limited in 1995.

During his stay, Mr. Tarun Patel will meet with counterparts in order to discuss partnerships in the broadcasting and media fields, such as the Korea Broadcasting System (KBS), Korean Culture and Information Service, Arirang TV, Munwha Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and Korea Creative Contents Agency (KOCCA). He will also visit the N Seoul Tower, Gyeongju historical sites, the War Memorial of Korea, NANTA performance, Samsung Leeum Museum, YOON's Color and Sangam Digital Media City for a first-hand opportunity to appreciate Korea’s past and present.
