- 6.12, 부다페스트 로큰롤 Made in Hungaria (2009) 헝가리 Hungary 코미디 Comedy·Musical│109min 감독 Gergely Fonyó
Miki and his parents returned to Communist Hungary in the mid sixties when everyone else was fleeing to the West. For young Miki, arriving from America sporting a Hawaiian shirt, life under dictatorship was going to be tough. When the authorities see the effect Miki's gyrating hips and lewd music have on teenage girls, they won't stand for it. He has no choice but to enter the local talent show.
Set in the politically troubled autumn of 1936, this story follows Zsigmond Gordon, a world-weary reporter asking unwanted questions about the seemingly unimportant murder of a young prostitute found beaten to death and dumped in a courtyard. While supposedly covering the funeral of fascist-leaning, real-life Hungarian prime minister Gyula Gömbös, Gordon's investigation leads him deep into the city's dark underbellypractical assistance.
The Glass PainterThe Art of Miksa Róth (2015) 헝가리 Hungary
Tóth Péter Pál
Miksa RÓTH was a famous Hungarian master of Art Nouveau. His excellent glass windows and mosaics greatly contribute to the beauty of Budapest. Being Christian he made hundreds of religious glass paintings, but being Jewish he lost everything he had during the WWII. The film builds up his life purely by his works, some photos and s, using commentary. It gives a view not only about a great artist but also the Hungarian history in the 20th century.
