한국국제교류재단(KF)은 8월 28일(수)-29일(목) 이틀에 걸쳐 노들섬 라이브하우스에서 < 2024 공공외교랩소디 - VIBE VOTAGE (교류하는,여행) >를 개최합니다. 이번 공공외교랩소디는 모로코, 콜롬비아, 일본, 프랑스, 한국 등 다양한 국가의 아티스트들과 함께 음악을 통해 교류하며 여행하는 듯한 경험을 선사하고자 마련되었습니다. 또한 공연과 연계한 콜롬비아 '살사'워크숍과 '싱잉볼 요가 명상 클래스' 등 다양한 공연 전 프로그램까지 준비되어 있는 '2024 공공외교랩소디 -VIBE VOYAGE'를 통해 한여름 밤의 음악 여행을 즐겨보세요.

The Korea Foundation (KF) will hold the <2024 Public Diplomacy Rhapsody: VIBE VOYAGE> at the Nodeul Live House from Wednesday, August 28, to Thursday, August 29. The two-day concert event will feature performances by artists from countries such as Morocco, Colombia, and Japan as well as France and Korea. The pre-show program will include a workshop on Colombian salsa and a singing bowl yoga meditation class. Through Public Diplomacy Rhapsody: VIBE VOYAGE, the KF will take guests on a musical journey on two midsummer nights.

  딸(TAAL)은 파키스탄의 신비주의 이슬람문화인 수피즘(Sufism)에서 비롯된 전통 음악 까왈리(Qawwali)와 우리나라의 민요를 한국적인 정서에 맞게 재창조시킴으로써 기존의 국악창작 방식을 벗어나 현대적인 어법을 모색하며 실험적인 음악을 지향하는 월드뮤직그룹이다. 그룹명인 딸(TAAL)은 인도, 파키스탄 지역에서 '리듬'을 의마하는 단어로 뛰어난 연주력을 바탕으로 즉흥 음악적인 요소를 활용해 한국의 민요, 특히 서도소리와 카왈리의 접점을 현대적이고 세련된 감성으로 해석해낸다.

  TAAL is an international experimental music group that reinvents Qawwali, a traditional music genre rooted in Sufi traditions and Islamic mysticism, and combines it with Korean folk music to appeal to Korean audiences, while still breaking away from its traditional patterns. The group's name, TAAL, is a word meaning "rhythm" in various dialects spoken in India and Pakistan. Its emblematic for the group's high-class performances, during which its members use improvisations to interpret emotions in a modern and sophisticated fusion of Qawwali and Korean folk songs, particularly Seodo Sori from Korea's western provinces.

  Omar and the Eastern Power is a fascinating band that produces an entirely new, amazing sound that connects the cultures of Morocco, Egypt, and Korea by combining the influence of the Sahel region and Afrobeats with Korean elements. Traditional instruments and rhythms from Africa and Korea form the basis of their inspiration, and the band's music harnesses sweet melodies to transcend boundaries and harmoniously express the respective countries' traditions. Their artistic vision takes listeners on a musical journey that combines a psychedelic atmosphere with the groove of roots music.

  살산그루브는 전통적인 살사와 아방가르드한 일렉트로닉 바이브에서 영감을 받아 창조적인 무대와 모험적인 콜롬비아 사운드를 들려주는 밴드이다. 첫 앨범이 2017년 라틴 그래미 어워드 후보에 오르는 성공을 경험한 후 살사를 해석하는 새로운 방식을 창조하여 라틴 아메리카 음악계에 화려하게 등장한다. 살산그루브 뮤지션들은 수년간 새로운 콜롬비아 사운드의 구성과 홍보에 이바지해왔다. 이들의 작품은 재즈, 하드살사, 콜롬비아 민속, 퓨전 또는 록에 그 흔적을 남겼으며 살산그루부의 모든 노래에서 이 멋진 경험을 듣고 느낄 수 있다

  Salsangroove is a band offering a creative staging and adventurous Colombian sounds, inspired by classic salsa as well as avant-garde electronic vibes. After the success of their first album nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards in 2017, Salsangroove makes another striking entry into the Latin American music scene by reinventing the ways of interpreting salsa. For many years, the musicians of Salsangroove have contributed to the construction and promotion of new Colombian sounds. Their work has left its marks on jazz, hard salsa, Colombian folklore, and fusions or rock, showing their great experience that you can hear and feel in every song.

  텐거는 여행하는 예술인 가족이다. 2005년에 '10'을 결성한 한국의 있다(인디언 하무니움, 보이스, 장난감 악기)와 일본의 마르키도(신디 사이저, 일렉트로닉스)는 두 사람 사이의 새 생명 라아이(장난감 악기, 보이스, 신시사이저 연주 및 댄스 퍼포먼스)의 탄생을 계기로 몽골어로 '경계없이 무한한 하늘'을 뜻하는 '텐거'가 되었다.동서양의 여러 나라를 경계없이 유랑하며 가족 구성원 전체가 함께 여러 곳의 환경과 문화를 여행자의 시선으로 체화 하는 동시에 작품 활동을 통해 환경과 정신세계에 대한 의견을 작품에 반영하며 활동하고 있다.

  Tengger is a family of traveling artists. The group was originally a duo called “10”, formed in 2005 by ITTA from Korea (Indian harmonium, vocals, toy instruments) and MARQIDO from Japan (synthesizer, electronics); together, they d RAAl (toy instrument, vocals, synthesizer, performance and dance) and later changed their name to Tengger, which means “boundless expanse of the sky" in Mongolian. By wandering through various countries in the East and West, paying no heed to boundaries, the group's three members experience the culture and environment of various places through the eyes of travelers, while also reflecting their views on the environment and spiritual world in their works.

  일렉트로닉과 전통 음악이라는 두 음악 문화의 만남을 예술가 아딜 스말리(AdilSm3li)와 라카이(Lakay)의 협업으로 들려준다.하드라(Hadra) 연합 20주년을 맞이하여 그르노블에서 모인 이 조합은 모로코의 뿌리에 경의를 표하고자 탄생했다. 이것은 사이트랜스 음악과 같은 일렉트로닉 및 사이키델릭 문화의 홍보와 안정을 위해 연합이 처음부터 옹호해 온 가치이기도 하다. 모로코 그나와(gnawa)민족의 노래와, 그들의 현악기 구엠브리(guembri)및 타악기 리듬, 샘플, 디지털 반복 루프가 삽인된 이 퓨전 스타일은 영혼을 한데 모아 독특한 공연을 선사한다.

  The meeting of two musical cultures of two worlds, one electronic and one traditional, is the story told by the collaboration of artists Adil Smaali and Lakay. Gathered for the 20th anniversary of the association Hadra from Grenoble, the idea of this creation was born to pay tribute to Hadra's Moroccan roots. These are also the values defended by the association since its beginnings, working for the promotion and recognition of electronic and psychedelic culture, such as psytrance music. Punctuated by Gnawa songs, guembri and percussion rhythms, and samples and digital loops (recorded during a trip to Morocco), this fusion of styles brings souls together for a unique performance.

• HAEPAARY 해파리, /KOREA 한국

  해파리(HAEPAARY)는 민희와 혜원으로 구성된 듀오다. 마치 한 몸처럼 얽혀 사유하고 작업하는해파리(HAEPAARY)는 데뷔 이후 지금까지 민희와 혜원이 서로가 가진 장점을 상호유기적으로 활용하며 해파리(HAEPAARY)로서의 아이덴티티를 함께 구축해 왔다. '한국전통음악'이라는 소수 음악 언어에서 공통점을 발견하였지만, 언어의 문법 자체보다 소수성에 더 관심을 가지고 이를 음악적 태도로 전환하여 창작에 접근하다. 2021년 첫 EP < Born by Gorgeousness >를 발표하며 활동을 시작했으며 2022년 한국대중음악상 일렉트로닉 부문 음반상과 노래상을 수상했다.

  HAEPAARY is a duo consisting of MINHEE and HYEWON. Since their debut as HAEPAARY, whose thoughts and work are intertwined as if they were one body, the two artists have been leveraging each other's strengths to build their musical identity. Although they discovered commonalities in the minority musical language known as "Korean traditional music," when it came to creating music, they were more fascinated by the concept of "minority" than the grammar of the musical language itself, and this translated into their approach to music. They began their career by releasing their first EP "Born by Gorgeousness" in 2021, and won the Best Album and Best Song awards in the dance and electronic music category at the 2022 Korean Music Awards.
