‘2021 Sound Healing with Korea – Listen to Jeju’ Videos to Go Online

On September 6, “Sound Healing with Korea – Listen to Jeju,” a series of five videos presenting the scenic beauty of Jeju Island, will be made available on the KF’s YouTube channel.

The videos will form the first season of “Sound Healing with Korea,” the KF’s “K-healing” series of relaxing, wordless content. The series aims to promote the recognition of Korea overseas as the global demand for arts and cultural content increases amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

“2021 Sound Healing with Korea – Listen to Jeju” will convey a message of coexistence via five themed ASMR episodes. Through these five videos, viewers will be able to enjoy Jeju’s resilient, age-old natural beauty and observe the everyday lives of Jeju islanders.

The episodes will spread “K-healing” to viewers around the world through a presentation of the sounds of Jeju. “The Sound of Heaven” will take viewers birdwatching; “The Sound of Mystery” will showcase Moss Waterfall in Eorimok Valley; and “The Sound of the Sea” will capture the whistles of dolphins. The season will wrap up with such unique sounds as sumbisori (the whistling of haenyeo, Jeju’s famous women divers) and the vocalizations of malteuri, the horse herdsmen of the island, in its later installments.
