ASEAN Cooking Class Returns for Spring and Summer 2021
The ASEAN Cooking Class, presented by the KF’s ASEAN Culture House, is
back for the spring and summer. Since 2017, the class has given
participants an opportunity to experience the culinary variety of
ASEAN, and has featured more than 60 dishes so far to great reception.
This year, the class will be offered in two sessions, the first of
which runs from late May through the end of July. It will introduce
ASEAN dishes that may seem unfamiliar to Koreans, including rendang, a
popular dish in Indonesia and Malaysia that was chosen by CNN as the
world’s most delicious food; udang sambal serai bersantan, a
chili-spiced seafood specialty from Brunei Darussalam; and nam wan, an
icy Lao dessert similar to Korean patbingsu. To apply or to see more
detailed information, please refer to the ASEAN Culture House website.
