2022 UK-Korea Creative Commissions—Daily Rituals: Four Earths
From August through November this year, the KF and the British Council in Seoul are supporting the project “Daily Ritual: Four Earths” to positively respond to climate change and strengthen bilateral cooperation in the cause. It is the second project selected by the KF and the Council, following the first, “Gathering Moss,” last year.
The latest project will be jointly conducted by Artebah and Prof. Lee Jinjoon at the Creative Media Lab (TX Lab) of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon and London-based visual arts company D-Fuse. During the four-month period, young people from Korea and the UK will explore and their daily lives for a ary on climate change caused by CO2 emissions in everyday consumption. The ary will be used to educate the public on the severity of climate change and aims to expedite practical responses. In November, both countries will host an exhibition and a live event showcasing the ary.
The project seeks to explore people’s everyday lives and stimulate interest in tackling climate change.
