Enhancement of Korea Foundation Websites

The ClickKorea site (www.clickkorea.or.kr) has been revamped to provide more convenient access for users. Previously, the Foundation had maintained 12 websites, which has made it difficult for users to easily access certain information due to the numerous separate sites. Accordingly, the previous ClickKorea site has now been combined with the Arts of Korea, Books on Korea, and Koreanists sites, for a more user-friendly and convenient format.

From January 1, 2006, the Koreana Webzine (www.koreana.or.kr) will provide access to articles in Arabic, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian in text format, as well as the current PDF format. In addition, a new multi-language keyword search function is now available for viewers who could not easily locate specific articles, since all titles had previously been maintained in only English and Korean. Moreover, multi-language versions of the Webzine content are available as well.

In an effort to provide access to relevant content in a more timely manner, the Foundation is in the process of revamping the format of its Korea Focus publication. In line with the results of a survey of Korea Focus subscribers and interested parties, the Foundation will strive to have pertinent articles on Korea? current affairs regularly posted online at our webzine site, for quicker and more convenient access of readers. In addition, the Foundation will continue to distribute printed editions of Korea Focus, however, on a quarterly basis instead of the previous six times a year. The revamped Korea Focus webzine is slated to commence operation from early April 2006, while the first printed edition will be available in early May.
