Korea Focus Webzine

For the past 13 years, the Korea Focus has informed readers worldwide of major developments and key issues of Korea's politics and diplomacy and inter-Korean relations, as well as matters related to the Korean economy, society, and culture, as the Korea Foundation's representative bimonthly journal. In 2006, the Korea Focus webzine (www.koreafocus.or.kr) has been renovated to provide readers with more timely access to this content.
Previously, the content of the Korea Focus webzine was updated bimonthly, after the publication of the print version. However, hereafter, the Korea Focus webzine will be updated on a monthly basis. The commentary sections will include articles on political, economic, social, and cultural issues, while the essay section will focus on various subject areas in depth. In addition, accompanying photos and a photo section are provided to complement the written text.
The current edition of the Korea Focus webzine includes such features as the difficult experiences of biracial children in Korea, which was highlighted by the visit to Korea of Hines Ward, the MVP of the NFL Super Bowl, fresh perceptions of Korea's traditional culture due to the record-breaking box office success of the Korean movie "The King and the Clown," and discussion of the Korea-U.S. FTA negotiations.
Along with monthly updates of the webzine, a print version of the Korea Focus will be available on a quarterly basis, which will include the most relevant content posted on the webzine. The print version will also have a number of color photos for added insight. Following the publication of the Spring 2006 issue (Vol. 14, No. 1) of Korea Focus, the Foundation will publish summer, autumn and winter issues, in June, September, and December 2006.
The newly renovated webzine also provides a monthly e-mail service for readers. You can apply for the e-mail service by simply registering your e-mail address to receive the latest content.
