Seoul Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition in Moscow
September 1-20, 2008
Traditional Korean craftworks by 25 artisans, who have been designated Seoul Intangible Cultural Properties and five masters of traditional Korean crafts, have been on display at the Korean Cultural Center, in Moscow, Russia.

8th KF Forum
September 3, 2008
Outgoing U.S. Ambassador to Korea Alexander Vershbow was featured as the speaker of the recent KF Forum, held at the Seoul Plaza Hotel, who addressed issues related to the theme: “ROK-US Relations: The Global Dimension.”

Korean Traditional Performing Arts
September 6-10, 2008
Centered on a theme of pangut, a Korean shaman ritual, intangible cultural property performers, including dancers, singers, and musicians, introduced aspects of Korea’s traditional culture to audiences at Temple Hoyne Theatre, of the Denver Performing Arts Complex, and at Kingsbury Hall, of the University of Utah.

Exhibition of Kim So-sun’s Folk Paintings in Norway
September 6-October 19, 2008
To introduce the elegance of Korea’s traditional culture, about 50 folk paintings by Kim So-sun are being displayed at the White Exhibition Hall of the West Norway Museum of Decorative Art, in Bergen, Norway.

Photo Exhibition on Key Global Issues
September 16-30, 2008
An exhibition featuring the photographs of some 30 photographers from Korea and abroad, including Park Ha-seon and Chris Lamarca, on the theme of global poverty, was shown at Cheongpa Gallery of the Sookmyung Women’s University Museum.

Korea-Ireland Joint Dance Performance
September 20-October 5, 2008
Dance Company Now jointly d contemporary dance works, in conjunction with an Irish dance company, which were staged during a performance tour of various cities in Korea.

10th Workshop for Korean Art Curators
September 22-October 1, 2008
42 curators from 15 countries who oversee Korean galleries or Korean art collections at museums abroad participated in an annual workshop that focused on “the Royal Court Culture of Korea.” The workshop provided the curators with an opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge on this theme and have meetings with Korean specialists and other participants for the formation of networks.

Contemporary Korean Art Exhibition in Russia
September 26-October 11, 2008
Co-organized by the Korea Foundation and the International Confederation of the Unions of Artists (ICUA) of Russia, an exhibition of 17 works by nine of Korea’s representative contemporary artists is being presented at the Central House of Artists in Moscow.
