Korean Artists Participate in A 13

Works by three Korean artists – Jeon Joonho, Moon Kyungwon, and Yang Yang Haegue (Yang Hye-gyu) – are exhibited at the 13th edition of A, one of the world’s largest exhibitions of contemporary art, held once every five years, in Kassel, Germany. Kim Sun-jung is also participating as a curator.

Concerts Marking the London Paralympics

On the occasion of the 2012 London Paralympics, Beautiful Mind Charity, a Seoul-based philanthropic group staging concerts for charitable purposes, presents three concerts in London. The concerts aim to harmonize people around the world, regardless of physical capabilities, and feature disabled and non-disabled musicians from Korea and the U.K.

Korea’s DMZ: In Search for Peace and Life

The exhibition presents photos of the Korea’s demilitarized zone by Choi Byung-kwan, the first civilian ever authorized to capture images of the DMZ since the Korean War (1950-53). The photos tell a tragic tale of the country’s division through the natural scenery within the buffer zone, where human access has been limited.

‘K-pop Nature Plus’ at World Conservation Congress in Jeju

As part of Korea’s cultural diplomacy initiatives, “K-Pop Nature Plus” is staged to commemorate the 2012 World Conservation Congress of the International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Jeju Island. The outdoor concert combines K-pop and eco-friendly fashion to raise global awareness of environmental issues and demonstrate the Korean government’s commitment to green growth.
