  • The 2014 KF Global Academy offers a variety of lectures to broaden public awareness of Korea’s global diplomacy. As a follow-up to October lectures of “Korea in the World”and “Korea’s Softpower,” the November lectures are intended to improve Koreans’ understanding of global affairs, including matters related to Southeast Asia and Islam.

  • 2nd Korea-EU Forum
  • The Korea Foundation will be jointly hosting the second Korea-EU Forum in Brussels, in cooperation with Yonsei University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). The Korean and European participants, which include specialists and professionals from various fields together with students, will discuss ideas on how to effectuate a more dynamic partnership in line with a long-term vision.

  • 2014 Korean Studies Workshop for Non-Korean
    Educators
  • The Foundation regularly presents this Korean Studies workshop program, which is targeted for middle and high school teachers and educators from each country. The workshop program includes lectures about various aspects of Korea, including Korea’s culture, politics, business, and society, as well as visits to popular cultural sites and industrial facilities in Korea.

  • Fusion Gugak Concert Tour in Pakistan and
    Bangladesh
  • The Korea Foundation, along with the Korean Embassy missions in Bangladesh and Pakistan, are co-hosting a three-performance tour of the fusion gugak group Coreyah. The concerts are being staged to further the cultural exchange initiated during events in 2013 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Bangladesh, and the 30th anniversary of the launch of diplomatic ties between Korea and Pakistan.

  • 2014 Korean Speech Contest in Costa Rica and Uganda
  • The Korea Foundation is providing support to Korean Speech Contests in Costa Rica and Uganda, which are being organized by the Korean embassies in the two countries. A variety of cultural events will also be presented so that guests can experience Korean food, try on Hanbok attire, and listen to traditional music performances.
