KF Cultural Center Team: Programs in 2015

The 10th Anniversary of KFCC Celebrated with an Array of Diverse Activities
With the KF Cultural Center entering 2015 as the 10th year since its establishment, it is prepared to present an exceptional variety of vibrant events. The first of these will be the KF Gallery Open Stage 1: Royal Dance and Traditional Music of Okinawa. The KFCC will continue to present various cultural events throughout the year of 2015. There will be exhibitions that introduce visitors to the unique cultures of such countries as Denmark, Poland, and Tunisia, and a special exhibition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the KFCC’s opening in 2005. A Japan-Korea choir that is composed of Japanese and Korean students will stage a special performance. Various activities are being presented throughout the year, including a truly unique event featuring a highly regarded Taiwanese harmonica ensemble. In addition, this year’s KFCC program will include the KF Cheonggyecheon World Music Festival 2015, which will treat audiences to the musical artistry of world-class performers at an outdoor stage in the center of Seoul, as well as a regular lecture series on subjects of notable depth and significance.

Cultures of the World Brought to Koreans around the Country
The KF’s cooperative program with local governments for the promotion of cultural understanding, which has extended its scope all the way to Seogwipo, on Jejudo Island, will continue with its collaborative endeavors in 2015. The KFCC strives to improve the quality of life of people in Korea by carrying out cultural sharing activities in areas where residents have only limited chances to enjoy cultural events. These efforts are intended to provide more residents in outlying areas with the opportunity to enjoy the world’s cultures.
