MEETING THE WORLD IN KOREA: CHINA AND MONGOLIA

On September 19, at the Art Community Child Center in Suwon, the KF hosted the “Meeting the World in Korea” event for elementary school students. In the first portion of the event, international volunteers Enghedoya and Jo Sayu introduced the cultures of Mongolia and China, respectively. Their entertaining instruction allowed the children to learn much about two unfamiliar countries. In the second portion of the event, the class was divided into two groups: One group learned to play a Chinese version of a game called Dragon’s Heads and Tails, while the other group learned how to make a Mongolian traditional tent called a ger. As it was a session of hands-on learning, the kids are sure to remember what they learned for years to come.
